Professional Wood Staining Protect your exposed wood from the elements!

Why Stain? Protection. Prevention. Aesthetics.

  • Protect Against Rot and Bugs

As professional painters, we've seen first-hand the damage the elements can cause to wood surfaces. Once rotting has started, there's no going back. The wood will have to be replaced. Applying stain is a simple way to help protect wood surfaces and keep out termites, mold, mildew, and other pests that cause rot.

  • Prevent Water Damage

We've all seen the damage water has on wood surfaces that have been left untreated. By applying stain, you're creating a waterproof barrier that repels water, thus protecting the wood surface.

  • Avoid Discoloration and Fading

If you have wood in your home that is located in a place where it will receive a lot of sun – siding on a house or shed, a backyard deck, or floors or furniture that are near windows – the only way to protect it is with wood stain. Applying stain will prevent the wood in and around your home from becoming discolored or faded.

Trust Us! We Are Professional Painters With Years of Experience

As professional painters, we've seen first-hand the damage the elements can cause to wood surfaces. Applying stain is a simple way to help protect wood surfaces and enhance their appearance. Natural, exposed wood features are beautiful, and stain helps show off the natural grain while giving the wood a rich appearance.

Before applying stain, we professionally prep wooden surfaces with sanding, cleaning, and wood conditioner to open the pores (when needed). If necessary, we will apply a clear coat to seal and finish the surfaces.

The two types of stain we use most often are semi-transparent and a solid body stain. Semi-transparent stain allows the natural wood grain and texture to show, while the solid body stain resembles a painted appearance and helps hide imperfections.
